Authorities confirm deaths of two natives of North Ossetia in Ukraine

Sergey Menyailo, the head of North Ossetia, has presented the relatives of 16 natives of the republic who perished during the military operation in Ukraine with the Order of Courage, including the relatives of Senior Lieutenant Igor Kovalyov and Private Akop Kazaryan, whose deaths were not officially reported earlier. Since the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the deaths of at least 45 natives of North Ossetia have been officially confirmed.

Earlier, authorities did not report the deaths of Akop Kazaryan and Igor Kovalyov. Oleg Marzoev, a military expert, wrote about the death of Kovalyov. Igor was 28 years old; he served as the commander of a missile artillery platoon of a motorized rifle division. He left behind his wife and a small child.

The death of the 26-year-old Akop Kazaryan, a native of Mozdok, was reported on March 12 by the "Sputnik-Ossetia".
