Public Chamber of Chechnya supports claims against Republic's Public Prosecutor's Office
A scandal around Republic's Office of Public Prosecutor continues in Chechnya. The claims against the Prosecutor's Office of the Chechen Republic expressed by the Chechen Ombudsman were supported by the members of the National Public Chamber.
"The Chechen Republic abandons in unresolved problems to which the prosecutors find no answer for years. At the background of broad-scale creative labour, there is no logical explanation why the problem of disappeared citizens is not being solved. And those missing are not dozens, not even hundreds, but thousands of citizens," runs the statement of the Public Chamber of Chechnya.
"Hundreds of people are importuning state bodies for years; they are appealing to NGOs seeking assistance in search of their relatives. In many cases, should the Public Prosecutor's Office wish so, the persons involved in kidnappings could be easily established," the members of the Chamber assert.
