Mufti of Chechnya recognizes the fact that young people leave for the militants
Sultan Mirzaev, Mufti of the Chechen Republic, has admitted that within the recent months about two dozens of residents from different villages of the Republic have gone away to join the militants who hide in the mountains. At the same time, he has condemned the parents who failed "to tell their children three times a day about the harm brought by Wahhabis to the Chechen people."
"No amnesty games will ever be played with these young men. They will find their death in the mountains or will stay in prison all their life," Mufti Mirzaev said.
"Quite often, many parents think that their children have disappeared. Employees of power agencies, in their turn, launch a tough pressure on the families of those who left for the forest," an employee of one of local NGOs told in his conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
