Residents of Ingushetian village beat their fellow villager back from FSB

Residents of Surkhakhi village, Nazran District of Ingushetia, have prevented detainment by FSB agents of the man, whose deceased brother was suspected of attacks on servicemen and preparation of Beslan School seizure.

"At the moment of detention, several dozens of locals rallied at the house of their fellow villager, blocked the armed convoy's way out of the village and demanded to release the detainee," the "Interfax" was told by a source in law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia.

The web site Ingushetia.Ru specifies that the FSB Department of the neighbouring Republic - North Ossetia - were trying to kidnap Khalit Aushev, 26, and take him to Vladikavkaz.

Today, at 4 a.m., a car convoy entered Surkhakhi village; armed persons in masks jumped out of the cars, seized Mr Aushev, beat him and threw into a "Gazelle" van.

It is reported that the employees of the Nazran District Interior Unit (ROVD) were in time at the venue. It is worth noting here that the Nazran ROVD informed that Khalit Aushev was not in search and was not registered in any operative records.

In recent days, the bodies of the Republic of Ingushetia have become more active with their special operations aimed to search and capture criminals, as the Republic has witnessed several attacks in a row on frontier guards and employees of law enforcement bodies.
