Ararat Region: several activists detained at protest action

In the Ararat Region of Armenia, law enforcers have detained several activists who tried to block the local highway in protest against the arrival of Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian Prime Minister, in the region.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since April 25, the Armenian opposition has been holding protests demanding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan and his government, including various protest forms in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Today, in the Ararat Region, a group of 11 local residents tried to block the highway in order to prevent Nikol Pashinyan, the Premier, from visiting the region.

Pashinyan's motorcade was supposed to move along the highway, but before the appearance thereof, policemen forced the protesters out of the roadway and detained several activists, the "News.am" has reported today.
