Picket against local authorities suspended in Kislovodsk

In the city-resort of Kislovodsk (Stavropol Territory), a picket started on July 13 against actions of local authorities, which was to end on August 13, has been suspended.

Gennady Popkov, one of active participants of the picket, told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the demands of the action participants are as follows: to publish in mass media the architectural plan of the city-resort with indication of the places, objects and land plots, which were sold into personal ownership during the term in office of former city bosses Tovkan, V. K., Beketov, V. G., Demidenko, S. V., and of the present city Mayor Biryukov, V. V.

Among the demands of the picketers: to stop erection of the objects within the city boundary, which have not passed the Public Hearings; to dismiss the head of the department of architecture and town-planning A. N. Belokon and the head of the ecological department of the administration E. L. Makeeva, the latter as a direct guilty person of cutting down the green plantings and issuance of permits on illegal construction; to deliver the materials to the Chamber of Accounts of the Russian Federation and the Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The participants of the picket are also demanding to publish the justification of the increase of prices and tariffs on housing and communal services.
