MIA claims that the Ukrainian detained in Kuban was fire spotter
The citizen of Ukraine, detained in the Krasnodar Territory (also known as Kuban by the name of the main river), is accused of involvement in the death of three Russian policemen in the Kherson Region. The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has released a video of the detainee who is on his knees apologising.
The information about the criminal case against two citizens of Ukraine, one of whom was detained in Kuban, was posted by Alexander Rechitsky, the head of the MIA Branch for the Krasnodar Territory. He spoke about the detention of alleged "fire spotters" while presenting awards to relatives of three Krasnodar law enforcers, who perished on October 9 in the Kherson Region.
It follows from General Rechitsky's words that citizens of Ukraine aged 17 and 18 had transferred the coordinates of the locations of Russian military and police units in the Kherson Region to the Ukrainian militaries. The eldest of them, Larion Lavriv, was detained in the Krasnodar Territory and taken to the Kherson Region, the "MVD Media" outlet reports.
The video with the detained Ukrainians has been posted in the "MVD Media" YouTube channel.
