Relatives of Dagestani woman report her arrest in Moscow

Ulker Gashimova, a resident of the city of Derbent, who was detained at a Moscow airport while trying to leave Russia, has been arrested for 10 days, her relatives have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 5 it became known that law enforcers had detained the 23-year-old Gashimova, who had planned to seek political asylum in the Netherlands.

According to Anton Kolomitsyn, her boyfriend, the relatives are unaware of the charges put forward against her, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports.

The website of the Khimki City Court states that a case has been opened against Ulker Gashimova under the article "Disobedience to the demand of a military serviceman in connection with the performance of his duties to protect the Russia's state border."

Earlier, Anton Kolomitsyn said that law enforcers had searched Gashimova's home. Meanwhile, a criminal case was opened against Kolomitsyn himself in Russia under the article on the disclosure of state secrets due to his posting of topographic maps. In 2020, he emigrated from Russia.
