Journalist Nozdrinov pleads not guilty in his final speech
Alexander Nozdrinov, a journalist from the Krasnodar Territory, called a criminal case on fakes about the Russian army fabricated. In his final speech, the journalist emphasized that he was not guilty. The case file contains no evidence of Alexander Nozdrinov’s guilt, reports the defence.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that relatives of journalist Alexander Nozdrinov associated the criminal proceedings against him with his civic position and claimed that the trial was biased. On September 15, a public prosecutor requested the court to sentence Alexander Nozdrinov to nine years of imprisonment.
According to the “SOTAvision”*, Alexander Nozdrinov claimed in court that all defence motions were dismissed and that the criminal case was “fabricated and considered with significant violations.” “I don’t hope for an acquittal,” said the defendant.
Let us remind you that in March 2022, the police conducted a search at the place of residence of Alexander Nozdrinov, who ran the “Sanya Novokubansk” YouTube channel. The journalist was beaten during his detention. First, Alexander Nozdrinov was arrested in an administrative case on failure to obey a legal request of road-and-patrol police service (known as DPS) inspectors and later in a criminal case for posting a photo of a destroyed many-storeyed building in Kiev with a caption criticizing the actions of the Russian militaries.
On March 14, expert Alexander Isavnin stated in the court that the evidence presented by the public prosecution “had signs of editing and falsification.”
