Case of Baksan resident about discrediting Russian militaries reaches court

A court in Baksan has taken for proceedings the criminal case initiated against Khusen Gukov, a local resident, accused of discrediting the Russian Army.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 7, law enforcers conducted a search at the home of a 58-year-old resident of Baksan. A phone was confiscated from him, from which, according to investigators, he had posted discrediting publications about the Russian Army in his page in a closed social network.

Khusen Gukov is that very resident of Baksan whose house was searched, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reported. He is under recognizance not to leave the place.

Let us recall that earlier this January Gukov was charged under an administrative article for discrediting Russian militaries.

*Included by the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) into the register of foreign agents.
