Ali Insanov accuses Azerbaijani President of frauds

Ali Insanov, ex-Minister of Public Health of Azerbaijan, has accused President Ilham Aliev of appropriation of "oil" money and setting up the military-police regime in the country.

"The present political regime headed by Ilham Aliev is appropriating public funds and taking away the wealth from the people. If we do not stop this crime immediately, in the near future Azerbaijan will find itself in the position of the gambler who has lost all his property. The military-police regime, which is ready at any moment to shed people's blood, should leave the political arena of Azerbaijan," Mr Insanov has declared.

This cutting remark was made by Ali Insanov after announcement of the verdicts of the Appeal Court that have concluded the trial of his case today. The Appeal Court upheld the former verdict of the Court on Grave Crimes in relation to Ali Insanov, Anar Namazov (Insanov's nephew) and Eldar Rzaev who had been sentenced to 11, 7.5 and 7 years of imprisonment accordingly.

We remind you that the charge against Insanov was that by having taken advantage of his service powers, he had allegedly forged the documents related to the technical condition and economic value of certain objects, and in some cases, contrary to desire of labour collectives and by merging their operating modes, had created the legal and actual base for appropriation of certain objects, the Day.Az is quoting the verdict.
