Behaviour of Akhmat battalion fighters sparks discontent among residents of Belgorod Region
Fighters from Chechen units opened fire in a square of the town of Valuiki in the Belgorod Region and filmed it on video. Local residents, commenting on the video clip posted in social networks, have pointed to the unacceptable behaviour of Akhmat battalion fighters and demanded from authorities to hold them accountable.
On May 31, Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen leader, announced a redeployment of Chechen fighters to the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR); and on June 13, he reported that the "Zapad-Akhmat" battalion would go to the Belgorod Region, where it would be involved in preventing acts of sabotage.
The police are investigating the shooting by natives from the Caucasus in the square in Valuiki, Alexei Dybov, head of the Valuiki Urban District, has informed.
The above video posted in social networks shows several men dancing Lezginka and shooting firearms. Judging by the chevrons on their uniforms, they are natives of Chechnya.
"If these men are military servicemen, then they should be demoted at the very least. There should be some order," the user Ekaterina Volkova-Strelchenko wrote in her comment.
"If they want to shoot, let them go to the special military operation (SMO) zone," the user Natalya Skomoroschenko has suggested.
