"Imedi" TV Channel to restart broadcasting with restrictions

At first, the news programs of the "Imedi" TV Channel will be broadcast in Georgia not on the hourly basis but once every three hours. The fact was announced today by Irakliy Mosishvili, General Producer of the TV Company, in the course of the video bridge from Tbilisi.

"The special agents who had rushed on November 7 into the building of the television centre were deliberately smashing the equipment intended for broadcasting television programs," the Producer has stated, having added, that until now the telephones in the building of the TV Company are inoperative, there is no access to the Internet.

Now, the technical staff of the "Imedi" are restoring the material assets of the Channel, and starting from tomorrow, all the "Imedi" programs will be broadcast all over Georgia and go to the satellite, by means of which the "Imedi" can be watched abroad, the Regnum reports.

According to Mr Mosishvili, the quality of the TV signal will be a bit worse than earlier.

The "Imedi" will resume at 8:00 p.m. with the information program "Chronicles". Then, a talk show will be put on air dedicated to the events on November 7, when armed special agents rushed into the territory of the television centre.

Starting December 13, the "Imedi" will be on air since 8 in the morning, the RIA "Novosti" informs.
