Einullah Fatullaev: authorities of Azerbaijan are not interested to arrest E. Gusejnov's killers
The undertaken measured to detect the whereabouts and bring to Azerbaijan Teimuraz Aliev and Takhir Khubanov, citizens of Georgia, accused of murdering Elmar Gusejnov, editor-in-chief of the "Monitor" magazine, have given no effect so far. Journalists were informed about it by Mamed Mikailov, head of the Interpol National Central Bureau in Azerbaijan. He has also refuted information that Teimuraz Aliev and Takhir Khubanov are in Georgia.
Meanwhile, Einullah Fatullaev, editor-in-chief of the "Real Azerbaijan" newspaper, thinks that the authorities are sheltering these persons. "They are in Georgia, and we met them, the authorities are just not interested to arrest them," E. Fatullaev stated in his interview to the "Eni Musavat" newspaper. "Elmar's murder is a component of a huge home policy plan. This plan envisages reshuffling in the power circles and removal of a number of oligarchs from there. Some top power servants are named as customers of Elmar Gusejnov's murder. I see is as the only motive," the editor-in-chief has noted.
