"Reporters without Borders" hold action in memory of Anna Politkovskaya in Paris

Today, an action in memory of Anna Politkovskaya, observer of the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper, is held in Paris. The "Reporters without Borders," international non-governmental organization, is holding this action, the "Echo Moskvy" reports with a reference to the organization's statement. The action is dated to 100 days after the journalist's murder.

According to the statement, a funeral ceremony near the walls of the Notre-Dame Cathedral will be held during the action. Activists of the "Reporters without Borders" and French mass media journalists will rally under the Politkovskaya's portraits and light up candles.

"The investigation is in progress, and this action is intended to let the Kremlin know that the investigation is thoroughly traced," the statement of the organization stresses.

We remind you that Anna Politkovskaya, a "Novaya Gazeta" journalist, who was shot dead on October 7 in Moscow, was known, first of all, for her materials on Chechnya and North Caucasus.
