Armenia: students protest against murders of Armenians in the Russian Federation

On January 31, the Students-and-Youth Union "Sarkis Tkhruni" of the "Gnchak" Social-Democratic Party held a protest action in front of the building of the Russian embassy in Yerevan in connection with continuing murders of Armenian natives in Russia.

"We are ready to struggle for the rights of our compatriots wherever they are: in Russia, Armenia or any other country. In Russia, Armenians are murdered on the nationalistic pretext, not on any other. And those who state that murders have ordinary criminal context are bringing grist to the mill of nationalist organizations," Narek Galstyan, chairman of the Union, told the journalists.

Participants of the action have called the strategic allies of Armenia and Russia to be more consecutive in their statements and to fight against phenomena of this sort.
