"Komsomolskaya Pravda": possible Politkovskaya's killers detained
With a reference to a source close to the investigation of the case on Anna Politkovskaya's murder, the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" newspaper has informed about detention of two suspects of committing the crime. "They are both Chechens. Their names are naturally kept secret," the source told the newspaper.
The edition reports that the suspects have been tracked down with the help of Space Troops - by the pictures made by a satellite after Anna Politkovskaya's murder.
On the other hand, the managers of the "Novaya Gazeta," for which Anna Politkovskaya had worked, have the refuted the information about detention of any potential killers of the journalist, the "Echo Moskvy" radio reports.
It is worth noting that the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation has also refused to make any comments on the information of the "Komsomolskaya Pravda." "So far, everything that is connected with the enquiry into the given criminal case makes the investigation secret. We give no comments of any mass media presentations on this case," a spokesman of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation has stated today to the "Interfax" Agency.
