Bagapsh: there are no grounds for Abkhazian and Georgian presidents to meet
"There is no need to hold a meeting just for the sake of a meeting, it should be productive," president of Abkhazia S. Bagapsh has emphasized today at the press conference in Sukhumi speaking about his possible meeting with president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.
In the words of Mr. Bagapsh, for holding a meeting of this sort, the following main preconditions should be fulfilled: putting an end to provocations in Kodor Gorge; strict observance of earlier signed agreements, since "there is no sense to hold dialogue, if agreements are not followed"; signing the Peace Agreement and guarantees of non-restart of military actions.
Besides, Mr. Bagapsh has again demanded to release two citizens of Abkhazia - Fridon Chakaberia and David Sigua, responsible employees of the Gali administration.
