Georgia does not exclude war on South Ossetia
Today, South Ossetia has introduced restrictions on motor traffic in road sections near Georgian villages Tamarasheni-Kurta-Kekhvi and in the area of Ergneti village. The Parliament of Georgia considers that the actions of South-Ossetian authorities to block the roads are aimed at escalating the conflict.
Parliamentarian Guram Vakhtangishvili, who was elected in South Ossetia, has stated to journalists that in case of an attempt to block the bypass road from Tskhinvali, an armed clash may burst out. "Such actions of separatists will result in an armed opposition, and it will be a poor end for President Kokoity," Mr. Vakhtangishvili said.
David Gamkrelidze, leader of parliamentary faction "Right-Wing Opposition" has declared to journalists that the Georgian authorities "should have enough nerves not to yield to this provocation."
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that South Ossetia, in its turn, blames Georgia for escalating the tension, marking that the latter has at least 12 times blocked the Transcaucasian Highway from the start of this year, and Georgian power agents are illegally examining citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO) at their posts and violate their rights.
