"Neva-Express" train case: supposed terrorists' base found, several persons searched

In one of the villages of the Tver Region, located near the place of the accident of the "Neva-Express" train, employees of operative agencies found the house, where, according preliminary data, three or four terrorists who prepared the blow-up of the fast train could hide. This was stated on Monday by a source in the regional law enforcement bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the "Neva-Express" train suffered a wreck on its way from Moscow to St Petersburg near Bologoe station, when an explosion of the track derailed three last cars of the train.

"As a result of operative-search actions, a place was revealed near the place of the accident, where the terrorists could hide. Operative agents found a couch in the attic and traces of up to four persons who could stay there for several days," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes the source.

Besides, the investigation managed to find eyewitnesses who contacted the suspects. A married couple from Novgorod went to trade at the marketplace in Okulovka station, located on the route of the "Neva-Express" train, right on the eve of the terror act. According to their version, they noticed two men in a car with Moscow Region number plates. One of them was in a wig and carefully hid his face, the "Life News" gives the details.

According to Rashid Nurgaliev, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation, it was a man "over 40, chunky and red-haired." On Sunday, the identikit of the suspect was sent to territorial interior divisions, the ITAR-TASS reports.
