Georgia's MFA sends protest notes to Russia against violations of Georgians' rights

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Georgia has handed over to Russia its notes of protest related to the murder in Moscow on November 23 of Eduard Gurtskaya, a refugee from Abkhazia, and detention on November 29 of Ramaz Makasarashvili, a citizen of Georgia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that militiaman Anver Ibragimov was arrested on the murder case of Eduard Gurtskaya, 19, on suspicion of beating the young man to death.

Under the statement of the Georgian party, a citizen of Georgia Ramaz Makasarashvili was kidnapped on November 29 from the village of Perevi, Sachkher District of Georgia, bordering on South Ossetia. On the other hand, according to South-Ossetian KGB, a bus driver Makasarashvili entered in his bus into the territory of South Ossetia, gathered passengers and was about to leave the republic with them but was detained by Russian frontier guards, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports. Today, Makasarashvili was handed over to the Georgian party.
