In Georgia, NGO offers holding action on November 7 in memory of dispersal of opposition rally

In Georgia, the NGO named "House of Free Thought" has moved an initiative to declare November 7 the "Day of Dignity" in memory of the events of 2007, when the authorities dispersed the action of the opposition; and then announced the state of emergency in Georgia.

As reminded today by Bakur Bakuradze, the leader of the above NGO, on November 7, 2007, the authorities twice dispersed peaceful opposition protests by means of tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets.

"I call all Georgian public to mark November 7 in front of the Parliament", the IA "News-Georgia" quotes Mr Bakuradze as saying.

The initiators called all political parties, civil organizations, and citizens of Georgia, irrespective of their religious and political views, to participate in the action.
