A local resident kidnapped in Dagestan

This morning armed and masked people wearing camouflage uniforms who introduced themselves as officers of the Department of Interior Affairs of Magaramkent district carried away resident of the settlement of Kiuchhiur, Kurakh district, Ramazan Saidhanov. Location of the kidnapped man is unknown at the moment. This was reported by the man's brother Abdulhamid Saidhanov.

"At about 6 o'clock we were woken up by a loud knock on the door and shouts insulting for our religious dignity. When we came out into the courtyard there were already 12 unknown armed and masked men wearing camouflage uniforms. They were very rude and aggressive and there were no witnesses with them. One of them introduced himself as Chief of Criminal Police of the Department of Interior Affairs of Magaramkent district. Then the policeman thrust his hand into the window of the cellar and pulled out some packet. He asked: "What is this?" and then gave the packet to Ramazan's father. He took the packet and said: "It is not ours", Saidhanov said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to our interlocutor, the policemen opened the packet themselves. There was a gun cartridge and a combat grenade there. "After that Ramzan was taken to the Department of Interior Affairs of Magaramkent without any explanations but when our parents went to see their son the policemen declared that they knew nothing of the detainee's location at all", Abdulhamid Saidhanov said. He added that his brother did not work anywhere, had no records in the police and was a rigorous Moslem.

Press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan and representatives of district Department of Interior Affairs of Magaramkent declared that they knew nothing of Ramzan Saidhanov's detention and abduction.
