Kvitsiniya: proofs of my guilt presented by Abkhazian GPO are invalid
Today, at the session of the Abkhazian Parliament, the MP Nodik Kvitsiniya, a suspect in the murder of Russian businessman Sergey Klemantovich and his girlfriend Oksana Skarednova, has stated his complete innocence and added that the proofs presented to parliamentarians by the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Abkhazia are invalid and have no relation to him.
"The only evidence that had caused the suspicion of my involvement in the murder, was in the so-called confessions of the detainees, who said that I had allegedly ordered to kidnap Klemantovich to extort money from him, and then – to kill him," said Nodik Kvitsiniya.
According to the MP, in his testimony he did not hide the fact that Klemantovich had a debt to him. "And now, they want to turn my testimony into the proof of my guilt," Kvitsiniya said at the session of the Parliament.
He believes that "the detainees were forced under torture to slander him; and the Prosecutor then presented these testimonies to the Parliament."
According to his version, "the Prosecutor presented to the Parliament the confessions obtained in a criminal manner," and then used them against him.
Let us remind you that today the Abkhazian MPs have unanimously voted to strip Kvitsiniya's immunity, thereby agreeing to attraction of him as a defendant.
