At military training ground "Ashuluk", regular soldiers are forced to search for and collect ammunition, Vyacheslav Panikorovsky asserts
At the military training ground "Ashuluk", in violation of the orders issued by the Ministry of Defence (MoD), soldiers were forced to search for, store, and load by hands all found ammunition into vehicles. This was stated by Lieutenant Vyacheslav Panikorovsky, who is suspected of negligence. According to the Lieutenant, two soldiers, who perished at the military training ground "Ashuluk" in August, could be saved.
Let us remind you that on August 14, in the Astrakhan Region, at the military training ground "Ashuluk", when cleaning up the territory of the ammunition, regular soldier Andrei Leonov and Dmitry Reshetov were killed in an explosion of unidentified explosive device.
According to Vyacheslav Panikorovsky, the commanders assigned the task not for disposal of the ammunition, but for mine clearance.
"We were following the order, and we committed a lot of violations. We had no ambulance that was to follow us, we had no protective helmets with face protection, and we were not provided with health care," said the lieutenant.
"If the training ground had all the conditions to render medical assistance, the tragedy could have been avoided," the Lieutenant has stated.
