Body of businessman Cherkasov found in Karachay-Cherkessia
The body of the entrepreneur Nauruz Cherkasov, 46, who was kidnapped this August, was found in Zelenchuk District of Karachay-Cherkessia. The burial place of the businessman was shown by the earlier detained resident of Karachay-Cherkessia, said a source from the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Cherkasov was kidnapped on August 31 on the highway near the factory "Henkel" in the Kochubey District of the Stavropol Territory. On November 1, the MIA of Karachay-Cherkessia reported the detention of four suspects of kidnapping Nauruz Cherkasov.
In particular, according to a source from the MIA, Khasan Khubiev, a resident of Karachay-Cherkessia, was detained on suspicion of committing several crimes, including the kidnapping of Nauruz Cherkasov.
"During the interrogation, the detainee showed the place, where he, together with his accomplices, had buried Cherkasov's body," the source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Earlier, Cherkasov's relatives expressed an opinion that members of local illegal armed formations (IAFs) were involved in his kidnapping. On November 5, they held a picket in Cherkessk demanding to provide information about the investigation into his kidnapping.
