Villagers report that head of Kharachy was detained in Dagestan
Four residents of the village of Kharachy, Untsukul District of Dagestan, including the head of the village Gadjimurad Saladinov, were detained by power agents and taken to one of police stations for questioning, local residents have reported. The MIA says that special operations are carried out in the village to check some operative information.
According to one of the locals, "Initially, law enforcers detained the Imam of the local mosque, saying that he would be taken away to Buynaksk for questioning, but he is already at large. Now, as far as I know, four other locals, including the village head Gadjimurad Saladinov, are detained. Policemen said that all the detainees would be taken to the next village of Balakhany, where they have recently set up a temporary police station."
According to his story, the village was blocked from the side of Untsukul village.
"Exit and entry of transport are forbidden. The village has always had problems with telephone communication, but now it is clear that it is jammed; and locals have to go to the outskirts of Kharachy to make a phone call," he said.
The on duty unit of the Untsukul ROVD (District Interior Division) has refused to comment on the situation in the village.
