NAC: Dmitry Sokolov claims responsibility for terror act in Volgograd
Today, during the negotiations, Dmitry Sokolov confessed to power agents on his involvement in the terror act committed in Volgograd. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
The above information has been obtained as a result of negotiations with the persons blocked in the course of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) in a private house in the village of Semender. According to the power agents' information, the number of the blocked persons included Dmitry Sokolov, a member of the Makhachkala criminal grouping, who was involved in the bus bombing in Volgograd, and his accomplices.
"In the process of the negotiations, Dmitry Sokolov claimed responsibility for the committed terror acts, including the bombing of the public bus in Volgograd. He has said that he personally manufactured an improvised explosive device (IED), which was subsequently activated by the female suicide bomber Naida Asiyalova," the "RIA Novosti" quotes the NAC's message as stating.
In a private house located in Said Afandi Street, the power agents also block Rinat Mamaev, his wife Maryam, and their 1.5-year-old daughter. This was told at night to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Aishat, a sister of Rinat Mamaev. According to her, the 26-year-old man was wounded.
Gulnara Rustamova, a member of the DRPO "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), who was at the place, said that she tried to persuade the power agents to let the ambulance staff in, but in vain.
Later, the young woman with the baby was removed from the blocked house. The husband of the young woman died, Gulnara Rustamov has reported.
