The inquiry into the case of Gadjimurad Gasanov, accused of participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF), whose kidnapping had been reported by his relatives, is over. The case files have been sent to the court, a source from the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that Gadjimurad Gasanov disappeared on May 17 in Buynaksk, when some masked armed men took him, when he was leaving a mosque. At night on May 18, Gasanov's house was searched. His relatives later asserted that a pistol was planted during the search.
On November 15, Gasanov was charged with illegal possession of arms and ammunition. Investigators have also established his involvement in the activities of the armed underground, a source from the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
