Number of casualties of shelling of police units in Makhachkala has reached three
As reported by a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, during a shelling of the second police unit on Tuesday in Makhachkala, an occasional passerby was shot dead.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on Tuesday, November 19, police patrol units were attacked in Aziz Aliev Street and near the Trolleybus Circle. Two policemen were killed and two others wounded. There were three attackers, said the MIA source.
"One of them was killed in a shootout, when he tried to run into the store. The other two managed to escape, but they were blocked in a private house in Rakhmatullaev Street. They refused to negotiate their surrender; and now there is a shootout with them," said the source.
Earlier, law enforcers reported that one of the attackers was blocked in a grocery store; however, later it was not confirmed – an armed skirmish took place near the store, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a store salesperson.
