NAC: man killed in explosion in Makhachkala was involved in Volgograd terror act
Suleiman Magomedov, who accidentally blew himself up with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Makhachkala, was allegedly involved in the preparation of the terror act committed in the passenger bus in Volgograd. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee of Russia (NAC).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening of November 23, a powerful bomb detonated near dumpsters in Gogol Street. As a result, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), a man, who was transporting the IED, was killed. According to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the victim was identified as Magomed Suleimanov, a resident of Makhachkala, born in 1980.
"According to the information of the Russian FSB Department for Dagestan, he was directly involved in a series of crimes of terrorist nature, including the double terror act at the checkpoint of the DPS (road-and-post service of the police) at the entrance to Makhachkala, committed in May 2012, the undermining of the court marshals' building committed in Dagestan's capital in May 2013, and the preparation of the recent suicide bombing committed in a passenger bus in Volgograd," states a message dated November 24, which was posted on the website of the Russia's NAC.
