In Yerevan, annual festival "Literary Ark-2014" gathers writers from 11 countries

Yerevan hosts the International Festival "Literary Ark-2014", which brings together poets and writers from 11 countries, including France, Italy, Croatia, Russia, Poland, the UK, and Denmark.

The initiators of the festival are the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and the Armenian organization "Cultural Cooperation with Foreign Countries".

On September 19, the opening ceremony took place at the Cafesjian Centre for the Arts. The opening ceremony has included the presentation of the book "Literary Ark-2013", consisting of stories, poems and essays of writers, who took part in the festival last year, the "Caucasian Knot" reports.

According to Nerses Ter-Vardanyan, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Armenia, in 2011, the festival "Literary Ark" took greater scale. And since that time, the festival is held annually.

In the course of the literary forum, British writer Meg Rosoff met students of the Department of Journalism of the Yerevan State University and shared her experience to select topics for novels.

The festival will run until September 28.
