Defence of Ingush activist Amir Oskanov requests to summon law enforcers to court

An advocate of Amir Oskanov, a participant of a rally in Magas, requested the court to question both law enforces, with the use of force against whom Amir Oskanov was charged.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Amir Oskanov was placed under arrest until March 11. The case is being considered by the Zheleznovodsk City Court in the Stavropol Territory. At a court hearing on December 19, 2019, the defendant confirmed that he threw a bottle and a chair at law enforcers at a rally in Magas, but refused to plead guilty, since he did not hit anyone.

At the today's hearing of the Zheleznovodsk City Court, the judge asked the defence if the advocates were ready to listen to the evidence of eight witnesses without their presence. Gapur Murzabekov, an advocate of Amir Oskanov, replied that seven of the above witnesses gave testimonies not related to his client. The very witness, who pointed directly to Amir Oskanov, should testify in the courtroom, advocate Gapur Murzabekov believes. The advocate filed the same motion with regard to two secret affected law enforcers. The judge explained that they were on a secret trip and the court did not know their whereabouts. However, the defence insisted on summoning the victims to the court. The judge announced a break till February 19.
