Defence claims violation of Vadim Cheldiev's rights in SIZO
Vadim Cheldiev, accused in a case on a rally in Vladikavkaz, was transferred to solitary confinement, and he does not receive money and transfers from his relatives and friends, an advocate of the activist claims.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Vadim Cheldiev, as a suspected initiator of the rally in Vladikavkaz, was charged with publicly disseminating knowingly false information about the coronavirus infection, as well as extremism, and disorderly conduct. Furthermore, Vadim Cheldiev was also accused of using violence against a public officer during his transportation to prison.
Vadim Cheldiev was transferred to the solitary confinement of the Rostov SIZO (pre-trial prison). Today, a complaint about the above fact will be sent to the Ombudsman for the Rostov Region, reports Batraz Kulchiev, an advocate of the activist. "Vadim does not receive any transfers that relatives and friends bring to the SIZO, and online money transfers do not reach him too. So, he himself cannot buy food stuff at a SIZO shop," claimed Batraz Kulchiev as quoted by the North-Ossetian edition "Osnova".
