Victims of Grozny-Moscow train explosion claim 4.6 million roubles
A moral and material damage compensation claim worth more than 4.6 million roubles was lodged today by the persons who were injured at the Grozny-Moscow train explosion in summer of 2005, Valery Prilepskiy, advocate of one of the defendants, has reported. "The civil suit was filed by the insurer representing the interests of the Russian Railways and several victims," the lawyer has added. In his words, the victims in the case claim to collect from the defendants 200,000 rouble of moral damage and 4000 rouble of material damage each, while the insurer claims compensation of 4 million roubles, the RIA "Novosti" quotes Mr. Prilepskiy's words.
We remind you that today the public prosecutor has demanded to sentence the persons accused of blowing up the Grozny-Moscow train to 20-22 years of imprisonment, the Court spokesman has informed.
