Court again postpones consideration of the complaint lodged by "Internews" head

On Friday, May 11, the Golovinskiy Court of Moscow will announce its decision on the petition of the Public Prosecutor's Office asking to transfer the complaint lodged by Manana Aslamazyan, head of the Foundation "Educated Media" (assignee of the "Internews"), on illegal confiscation of documents from her organization to another court, the RIA "Novosti" informs.

Today, the Court has failed to start the consideration on the merits of Ms. Aslamazyan's complaint, lodged by her against illegal actions of the investigator related to confiscation of some documents from the office of her organization. During the court session, the representative of the Prosecutor's Office asked to transfer the complaint to the other court, since Aslamazyan's case was also transferred from the Air Transport Office of Public Prosecutor to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Central Administrative District of Moscow.

"The prosecution is asking to solve the problem of court jurisdiction, since they have changed the investigative jurisdiction. It's just a manipulation with the law," Boris Kuznetsov, Ms. Aslamazyan's advocate, has stated to journalists.

We remind you that the "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that on Wednesday, April 18, employees of the Department for Economic Security (DES) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia confiscated financial documents and computers from the Moscow office of the Foundation for Projects in the Sphere of Culture, Education and Mass Media "Educated Media" (assignee of the well-known Autonomous NGO "Internews").
