Telegram users doubt sincerity of tourist's apologies for her topless session in Dagestan

The tourist who, after a topless photo session filmed in Dagestan, recorded a video with an apology and assured that she had converted to Islam did it either under pressure or in order to hush up the scandal, some Telegram users believe.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a video with a naked girl posing amid mountains was posted in social networks. Commentators thereon were outraged by her behaviour, after which she deleted her topless photos and stated that she had decided to convert to Islam.

Earlier, this girl's video appeal to residents of Dagestan was posted in the "Mash Gor" Telegram channel. She stated, in particular, that some residents of Dagestan themselves fail to observe their customs and traditions.

Many users disbelieve the sincerity of the girl's statement.

"She's deliberately filmed the video so that they would leave her alone, saying that she had converted to Islam," the user Yu.M.R has written.

However, some commentators have noted that if the girl's words are sincere, then one can only be happy for her.

Let us remind you that residents of Dagestan have repeatedly expressed claims to tourists for their behaviour and appearance. In July 2021, the republic's authorities prepared a memo for visitors and guests, which stated that female tourists should not wear tight jeans and short skirts when visiting Dagestan, and male ones should not wear shorts.
