Dagestani Gashimova's advocate and bridegroom tell about her custody conditions at SIZO
At the trial of the case of Ulker Gashimova, a Makhachkala native, proofs are studied; the trial was delayed due to the judge replacement; the case had to be re-opened, said Nikita Buklov, an advocate. According to his version, Gashimova doesn't complain about her custody conditions at the SIZO (pre-trial prison).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 5, it became known that law enforcers had detained Ulker Gashimova, 23, an activist from Derbent, at a Moscow airport while she tried to fly out of Russia. Her bridegroom reported that the girl planned to ask for political asylum in the Netherlands. After two arrests in the Moscow Region, Gashimova was sent to Dagestan, and since then she was kept at the Makhachkala SIZO. On April 28, she complained about investigator's pressure.
The parties are currently presenting proofs at the Southern District Military Court, Nikita Buklov, an Ulker's advocate, has stated: she is accused of public calls for extremist activities and terrorism propaganda.
Nikita Buklov has added that the trial was delayed because for some unknown reason, Gashimova's judge was replaced, and the criminal case had to be started over again. Anton Kolomitsyn, Ulker's bridegroom, said that, judging by the letters he has received, his bride has no particular problems at the SIZO.
