Defence: court pronounces too harsh verdict against Boris Goncharenko in case on arson of military registration and enlistment office
Bogdan Abdurakhmanov and Boris Goncharenko did not agree with the classification of the case and asked the court to impose a fair sentence in the case on the arson of the military registration and enlistment office in the city of Goryachy Klyuch. The verdict, according to which Boris Goncharenko was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment, will be challenged.
The court sentenced Bogdan Abdurakhmanov to 13 years of imprisonment in a penal colony. The court found Boris Goncharenko to be a Bogdan Abdurakhmanov’s accomplice and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment in a penal colony.
Bogdan Abdurakhmanov was accused of committing a terror act, and Boris Goncharenko – of aiding and abetting terrorist activity. According to the investigators’ version, Bogdan Abdurakhmanov set fire to the military registration and enlistment office building, and Boris Goncharenko helped him make a Molotov cocktail.
Boris Goncharenko and Bogdan Abdurakhmanov asked the court to impose a fair sentence, reported Felix Wertegel, an advocate of Boris Goncharenko.
Let us remind you that on May 28, 2024, Bogdan Abdurakhmanov claimed that he did not give the testimony that was previously read out, but that it was written by an investigator. According to the defendant’s claim, he did not care what the investigator would write, but when the charge of a terror act appeared in the case, he reconsidered his attitude.
