Monument devoted to Russian-Armenian friendship was unveiled in Tula

Khachkar, a memorable stone dedicated to the centuries-old Russian-Armenian friendship, was unveiled in Tula yesterday.

Both Khachkar itself and a new park in the center of the town where the monument is mounted are built on the Armenian Diaspora's funds. Armenians by origin number a thousand people only in Tula. Russian culture has came as native for them as Armenian one. The Diaspora publishes a newspaper, created its cultural center. As Ara Abramian, the president of the Union of Russia's Armenians, marked the day before yesterday in Yerevan, only the strong and solidary Armenian Diaspora could be helpful to its country.
