  • Hijabs prohibited in VSU

    The Volgograd State University (VSU) has adopted a document, which regulates the allowable high school dress code, where, along with banned shorts and short skirts, it was decided to introduce a separate ban on wearing headscarves (hijabs). This proposal was made by Taisia Yudina, the pro-rector for education and upbringing of the VSU. It is supported by regional officials.

    As reported by the Chief Department for the Volgograd Region of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), a woman, wounded in the terror act in Volgograd on October 21, has died in the Vishnevsky Surgery Institute in Moscow. Thus, the death toll of the bus explosion has now eight persons. Currently, four more victims are still in hospitals.
